Although the fireworks lit up the sky on the fifth of July this year, the spirit of Independence Day was alive and well at Holy Spirit Catholic Church!

Over 150 parishioners, families, and friends gathered for an evening full of fun, food, and fellowship. The Knights of Columbus hosted a delicious picnic featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, and chicken nuggets, while our generous parish members brought an incredible spread of side dishes and desserts to share.

The highlight for many was the first annual kickball game—a spirited match where no one kept score, and everyone came out a winner. Kids enjoyed soaking each other with water guns, adults enjoyed games of cornhole, and laughter echoed throughout the evening.

As the sun set, we all made our way up the hill to watch the Soddy Daisy fireworks show together—a perfect ending to a joyful celebration of our country, our faith, and our community.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. Next year we are planning an even bigger event, to celebrate 250 years of the United States!
